Scott Fisk, MFA
Scott Fisk is a highly accomplished and versatile designer, artist and professor with expertise in graphic design and user experience design. He currently serves as the Chair of the Department of Art and Design at Samford University.
Scott's creative work has been showcased in numerous peer-reviewed exhibitions across the globe, and he has been the recipient of dozens of prestigious awards for his creative contributions. He was also honored with the Alabama State Council on the Arts Fellowship, a highly coveted grant that recognizes exceptional artists from Alabama who have made significant contributions to the field.
As a recognized expert in letterpress printing, Scott has been selected as an Alabama Humanities Alliance Road Scholar, traveling across the state to conduct workshops and inspire creativity in others. His unique skill set and vast experience have made him a sought-after speaker and educator in the art and design community.
In addition to his work as an designer and educator, Scott is also a decorated retired Army Reserve Photo-Journalist. During his deployment in Iraq, he was embedded as a combat photographer, earning the Bronze Star for his dedication to the mission.
My approach to problem-solving involves leveraging the capabilities of design thinking and user experience design to address business challenges. I am committed to working tirelessly towards enhancing a business's communication strategy with its target audience. Design thinking encompasses the mental, strategic, and practical processes utilized to create design proposals for new machines, products, buildings, among others.
